knitting and wine! May 7 @ Alexandria Nicole Cellars in Woodinville

Join us for a celebration of Washington wool and wine! Bring your girlfriends and your knitting (or favorite craft) project for a fun girls night out! We’ll knit, we’ll talk, and we’ll drink fabulous wine. As an icebreaker, Black Sheep Creamery knits author Susan Gehringer will talk about designing yarn, designing knit wear, and the path that led her to writing a book. She’ll be signing books and have some East Friesian yarn on hand. We’ll also have a fun knit-along “gauge doesn’t matter” to make a cowl (“gauge doesn’t matter“) or a hat (“gauge still doesn’t matter“).

If you’d like to participate in the completely optional and fun KAL, you should be able to cast on, cast off, knit, and purl. To make a cowl bring chunky weight yarn and a 24″ circular knitting needle in appropriate size or to make a hat bring worsted weight yarn and a 16” circular knitting needle in appropriate size; plus a stitch marker for either one. This isn’t a learn-to-knit session, but even if you don’t knit feel free to come and have some fun!
